Painting Faces

Charlie wanted me to draw heads. Faces! Lots of them so he could paint them all. He was energized after a bike ride to dinner and a warm bubble bath. He sloshed watercolor on crazy heads while I painted this tired lady.

Morning Swim

I sat in my chair for 15 minutes drinking coffee before I had to wake Char up for school. Took this little turtle on a swim. David left for Nashville at 5 am so he could get into town in time to play the Opry tonight. Boy do I wish we could have went with him but dang old work said no.

Painting Rosies

We love flowers. It is undying. Recently Char has learned to paint roses and I couldn’t be more proud. He’s not always into art like he is music. It’s exciting when he will pick up a paintbrush. David has been teaching him all his letters the past few weeks. David has been incredible in doing so! Charlie has been very resistant to wanting to write his name and we’re getting over that. I am sad David will be gone a lot soon. He been really teaching Char so many things lately. As much as he needed me at first he now is looking to David all the time. Dad is great!

In the Gutters

We had a long day of extreme teamwork. Morning was full of guitar parts work and the afternoon was visiting with the grandamas. I cleaned out my mom’s gutters and worked on her yard all afternoon so when we got back to the lake my sore hands could only offer up this lonely little flower in the blue.
